"Happy Thursday!"
The Cruiser Ride in Boulder is a tradition that goes back almost 20 years. A few years back I got a black Giant Simple and started decking it out. The first iteration had panels of LED strip on the sides. The trick of using clear shrink tube around an aluminum bar was the concept that eventually became the Blossoms of Light sticks. I added a 6 cell 25 volt drone lipo battery with a 5 volt 30 amp regulator as the power system. The side panels were too awkward and heavy and the bike often fell over, so I re-did it with a more elegant design. This bike runs off the same brain and iphone app as the UbaTuba sculptures. The previous version used a pixelpusher and LED LAB. The best part is not the lighting, its the CO2 TRIAN WHISTLE. toot tooot.
